STREET AND NEIGHBORHOOD
The land is located in a residential area, quiet, in a dead end (impasse).
The plot has an irregular shape. The forest is located next to the parcel dividing line west of the plot.

THE FIELD
The land is now occupied by a building who is heterogeneous, with considerable influence on the ground. This construction is not optimized and consume a lot of energy.

 

 

THE RED LINE OF THE PROJECT!
The will of the project is to design a sustainable project that fits in the particular context of a plot with irregular shapes. The main idea is create two volumes offset, which interact with each other by their differences. The difference between the two volumes from the context: a clear volume with a maximum horizontal to reduce the impact of the impasse and the other with a pitched roof and a dark color to blend into the adjoining house of neighboring plot.
The answer is to articulate two volumes, one which incorporates the axis of the impasse (by enlarging the existing building line with the impasse) and one that continues the axis of the dividing line construction . These two volumes are contrasted by two different colors. The project was reflected with sobriety.
 

GREEN ASPECT

- Treatment of bioclimatic facades (wide openings to the south / southwest),
-  Esthetic quality  of the operation (changing the quality of the site for residents).

- Insulation and sealing (decrease energy consumption).
- Increase of density (4 units instead of a house).

- Creation of green spaces and planted area of ​​open ground (gardens).
- Revegetation of separative walls along the boundaries common journey.


- Removing asbestos that were present on the site.
